ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lindsay Lange is a 34 year old native Long Island mixed media artist and muralist. She loves to utilize portraiture, often of women & animals, in her original artwork to evoke emotion in the viewer. Her most frequently used mediums are watercolor, acrylic, oil, aerosol & gold leaf very often mixed to create varying texture and depth. She found herself drawn to portraiture very early on in her career, pointing out that the use of shadows found in the face exciting and intriguing to create. 
After leaving her career in corporate accounting in 2019 to raise her two young children, she used art as a therapeutic release and sense of identity aside from motherhood. She now aims to use her artwork to bring the struggles and needs of parents and women to light. 
Lindsay has been painting murals for many years on and off as a hobby and side business, but decided in 2021 to take a leap of faith and make murals her full time gig. You can find her work all over Long Island, from the Hamptons to Queens, in both businesses and residential spaces. Her style is often easy to recognize, though she prides herself in being versatile and constantly aims to grow and adapt to her clients needs. 
When not out in the field painting murals, you can find her in her studio creating new original collections, hosting art exhibitions in local facilities and galleries, or live painting at local festivals & establishments.
